Leo XIV Promotes Mexican Archbishop Purified by Mazatec Indigenious Rites

Pope Leo XIV appointed today Coadjutor José Armando Álvarez Cano as Archbishop of Morelia, Mexico. Morelia is one of Mexico’s most important ecclesiastical jurisdictions.
Álvarez was born in Jiquilpan, in the Diocese of Zamora, in January 1960. He was ordained a priest in 1986 for the Diocese of Zamora and holds a licentiate in pastoral theology.
After serving in various parishes and spending two years as a missionary priest in Peru, he returned to Mexico as a parish priest and head of clergy formation in his diocese.
He was appointed Bishop of the Territorial Prelature of Huautla in 2011 (10 parishes, 24 priests) by Benedict XVI and was ordained a bishop in January 2012.
In 2019, he was transferred to become Bishop of Tampico (72 parishes, 147 priests).
In January 2025, Pope Francis – with his Prefect Robert Prevost of the Congregation of Bishops – appointed him Coadjutor of Morelia (242 parishes, 455 priests).

U.S. send a military ariplane and lands it in Toluca, Mexico, maximum alarm. D.T. is moving his cards to try another invasion as he has said so many times that Mexico, Canada, Colombia, Greenland are in his list. He is the prelude to what's to come when the Anti-Christ appears, as more innocent Americans keep falling victims of ICE, some not reported killings and others ending in hospitals because of the beatings and shootings, and other military craft being used by ICE. Trump is provoking to be able to call the insurrection act or to call martial law nation wide and kill at his pleasure as he has no values at all for human life. Civil war is coming, and WW 3 is at the door, the door is opening now, all of a sudden we will hear the bombs exploding and millions being killed.

Fr. Chrysostom Verwyst, OFM
PDF
Frederic Baraga was born on June 29, 1797, in the manor house at Mala Vas (German: Kleindorf) near the village of Dobrnič in Lower Carniola, a province of the Duchy of Carniola in the Austrian Empire. Frederic was the fourth of five children born to Janez Baraga and Marija Katarina Jožefa née Jenčič. His sister Antonija Höffern became the first Slovenian woman to immigrate to the United States. Upon her father's death, Baraga's mother inherited an estate at Mala Vas and substantial fortune. She died in 1808, and her husband in 1812. Cardinal Parolin Confirms Report on Vatican Mediation With Maduro

On Saturday, Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin confirmed that he tried to find a solution in Venezuela that would avoid bloodshed, including seeking an agreement with Nicolás Maduro and other representatives of the government. The Cardinal added that these efforts ultimately failed.
Speaking on the sidelines of an event, Parolin said: "We tried what also appeared in some newspapers". This was an indirect reference to earlier reporting by Washington Post about Vatican involvement in efforts to secure a safe passage for Maduro before his capture by the United States.
Cardinal Parolin added that the Vatican had always supported a peaceful solution, but that it eventually found itself faced with a fait accompli, meaning the situation had developed beyond what diplomacy could influence.
In short, Parolin’s Saturday remarks publicly confirmed that:
- The Vatican tried to broker a peaceful exit for Maduro
- This included negotiating directly or indirectly with Maduro and his …Ավելին

WATCH: Cardinals in Conflict – The Future of the Latin Mass and Synodality

A battle royale is underway inside the Vatican—and the stakes couldn’t be higher. On this edition of The Prayerful Posse, Raymond Arroyo, Fr. Gerald Murray, and Robert Royal break down new details from the recent meeting of cardinals in Rome, where divisions over synodality and the Traditional Latin Mass are now boiling into open conflict.
Cardinal Joseph Zen stunned the room by denouncing what he called “Bergoglian synodality,” warning the process has become manipulated and even “insulting” to bishops—raising urgent questions about authority, hierarchy, and whether the Church is being pushed toward confusion and division.
Meanwhile, Cardinal Arthur Roche issued a sharp letter attacking the Traditional Latin Mass, arguing the conflict is not about preference—it’s about the Church’s identity. The Posse explains why this fight matters, what Vatican II actually called for, and why this liturgical showdown isn’t going away.
Plus: the Vatican financial trial involving Cardinal Becciu,…

This Synod idea with Laity present is just about to blow up in leo's face.
The German and Spanish Church want to push the envelope to be all inclusive in their ideologies, and WILL in fact erupt into chaos when leo tries to stamp it out.
The problem in the Church is the financial handcuffs that every Bishop and Cardinal has that prevents them from speaking out on this matter.
A fine example is when Cardinal Burke was told by the Vatican to exit and move out of the Vatican property apartment you occupy.
To prevent this from happening, the well to do laity with additional living quarters, should contact their favorite Cardinal or Bishop and offer their services.
Just imagine - having a Cardinal say daily Liturgy at your abode!

Leo XIV Received Superior General of FSSP

Pope Leo XIV received Fr. John Berg, the Superior General of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP), in audience today, according to the Holy See Press Office.
Father Berg previously served as Superior General of the FSSP from 2006 to 2018, before being elected again in July 2024.
Today’s audience follows a series of significant interactions between the FSSP and the Holy See, including Pope Francis’s February 2024 meeting with FSSP leadership - "allowing" them to continue with the Roman rite.
An Apostolic Visitation of the Fraternity has begun in September 2024. It is the first ordinary apostolic visitation of the FSSP since 2014.

Pedaling Away From “Illicit Religion”: China Turns Bicycle Races Into Propaganda Arenas

In Yiwu, Zhejiang, participants in a sports event are indoctrinated against the “xie jiao” while cycling up the hills.
by Qi Junzao
The Yivu race: anti-xie-jiao propaganda is not far away.

On December 14, the city of Yiwu in Zhejiang
province hosted what might have been a perfectly ordinary sporting event: a cycling hill‑climb invitational. One thousand riders gathered at the scenic Shili Taohua Wu area to test their stamina on the winding Yan’kou Lake track. But in China, no public gathering is too innocent to escape the heavy hand of propaganda.
Suddenly, the event was transformed into a “sports + anti-xie‑jiao extravaganza.”
For readers unfamiliar with the term, “xie jiao” is often translated as “cults” or “evil cults,” but this is not accurate. It designates in China since the Middle Ages “organizations spreading heterodox teachings,” and the powers that be decide which teachings are “heterodox.” Today, it is a deliberately broad and elastic label wielded by the Chinese …
