A property dispute between a Premonstratensian monastery and the city of Oradea in northwestern Romania has escalated after local authorities forced their way into the monastery in the early hours of Wednesday. The Catholic monastery was founded in 1130. The video below, released by the monastery, shows police officers on site, piles of rubble, and a large hole in a wall through which officials entered the abbey. Abbot Rudolf Anzelm Fejes described the operation as unlawful, saying authorities arrived "like thieves in the night." According to local reports, he has since left the monastery. The city administration says it was enforcing an existing eviction order against the abbot. At the center of the dispute is ownership of the monastery complex and an adjoining school, both claimed by the religious order and the municipality. The school building is due to undergo renovation. The incident has triggered support campaigns for the monastery and drawn criticism from representatives of …Bebree

Virtue Grows Only Through Spiritual Struggle Suffering, while difficult, is a necessary part of spiritual growth. God allows suffering to build endurance, which in turn cultivates virtue. By enduring hardships and cooperating with God’s will, individuals can grow in holiness and become saints. Fr. Notre Dame Priest Abused Students for 17 Years: An investigation of the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, found Holy Cross priest Father Thomas King, a dorm rector and history professor, homosexually abused male students over 17 years during the 1980s and 1990s. He used a "weighing scheme" to see students naked and coerced others with threats of bad recommendations. Despite repeated reports, officials were slow to act, and King wasn't removed from ministry until 2020. Notre Dame's president apologized to victims upon the report's release in May 2026. King himself has remained silent.
Notre Dame Rector Sexually Abused Students Over 17 Years
17 years of abuse, destroying the body and souls of those entrusted to him and nobody a the University knew anything, I'll guess that many people knew but kept their mouths shut. Some out of fear and others because they were abusing students themselves. What is worse is that in many areas of the Church today, this still goes on.

The cathedral was built in 1989.

[This article was formerly titled “Blessed Brother André of Saint Joseph.” With the canonization of Frere André on October 17, 2010, we have changed the name to something more fitting. The author is grateful that he had the grace to be present in St. Peter’s Square when the Holy Father solemnly declared his patron a saint.] In the city of Montreal, Province of Quebec, Canada, on a rise of earth known as Mount Royal, there stands a religious edifice of staggering proportions. It is three hundred and sixty-one feet high, taller than either Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York or the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. Its girth is so massive that it could hold within itself any one of most of the world’s great shrines, including Saint Anne de Beaupré and Saint Paul of London. The cross atop its domed roof can be seen for miles around, guiding the millions of pilgrims who come there each year. It is the Oratory of Saint Joseph, a worthy tribute to him who is the head of the Holy Family …
Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa of Jerusalem reportedly intervened with Israeli authorities after its military attempted to stop preparations for a Catholic Marian festival in the Christian Palestinian town of Taybeh on May 29. Israeli military vehicles entered the village during preparations for the annual celebration honoring Our Lady and ordered organizers to leave the area. Witnesses also claimed that a stun grenade was deployed during the incident. The parish priest overseeing the event immediately contacted Church authorities. The matter was then elevated to Cardinal Pizzaballa, who spoke with Israeli officials and secured permission for the festival to proceed. “Our fear this morning was that radical settlers would disrupt preparations for the Marian Festival. Instead, it was far more disturbing to watch the Israeli military intervene,” said Lex Pouliot of the Vulnerable People Project, who was present in Taybeh. Taybeh, regarded as the last entirely Christian Palestinian town …Bebree

A bill due for debate in the French National Assembly on June 1 could require Catholic priests to report abuse disclosed during confession. Article 9 of the proposed legislation would remove exemptions for ministers of religion regarding information obtained "in the exercise of their ministry." The provision directly threatens the seal of confession. In a statement issued on May 29, the French bishops' conference expressed "great concern," warning that the bill could undermine freedom of conscience, freedom of worship, professional secrecy, and educational freedom. The bishops argue that ministers of religion are being explicitly targeted by the amendment, while other forms of legally protected confidentiality like lawyers remain governed by their existing legal frameworks. The bishops insist they fully support efforts to combat child abuse. However, they argue that forcing priests to violate the seal of confession would cross a line with significant implications for religious liberty …Bebree
On the other hand............. This is exactly what the Catholic Church needs today, because of the lack of action by the upper echelon at the Vatican in dealing with this problem. The last Pope simply condoned these actions, and now this guy wants to continue the Francis Agenda instead of initiating Castration. So now, when little Francois goes to Confession with Monsignor, and talks about his sinful actions with Father Jean Paul, he now hits two birds with one stone. A) Father Jean Paul goes on trial B) Monsignor gets 3 years in jail plus a hefty fine for trying to cover this up. ALL Because the Papacy kept protecting it's Rump Rangers

Worse than Germany: On May 21, Archbishop Gherardo Gambelli of Florence presided over a prayer vigil against “homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia”. 300 participants, including clergy, gathered. The event took place in the parish of Beata Vergine Maria delle Grazie all'Isolotto in Florence, a church located in the Isolotto district. This area is historically associated with ecclesiastical rebellion in the 1960s. During the vigil, Archbishop Gambelli cited Acts 10:34-35: "God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears Him and does what is right is acceptable to Him." He presented the passage as a reflection on the dignity of every person and the need to reject prejudice and hatred. The event featured personal testimonies from unrepentant homosexuals. One speaker, Carlo, a 53-year-old homosexual from Florence, whined about experiences of bullying during his youth. He publicly confessed to sinning stubbornly with a man since twenty years but called this accomplice "a precious …Bebree
When I was Muslim, I used to ask Christians: “If Jesus was really God, why did He eat, sleep, and bleed like us?” And honestly, I used to ask it with pride like it was some unbeatable argument. But later I realized something: That question was not exposing Christianity. It was exposing my misunderstanding of what kind of God Jesus claimed to be. Because the real question is not: “Why would God become weak?” The real question is: “What kind of God would willingly step into human suffering at all?” Islam taught me about a God who was distant and untouchable. But Christianity introduced me to a God who stepped into hunger, exhaustion, grief, pain, betrayal, blood, and suffering with us. And suddenly His humanity stopped feeling like weakness to me. It became proof of love. If Jesus ate, it means He came close enough to experience hunger beside us. If He slept, it means He embraced the exhaustion we carry. If He bled, it means He did not stand above suffering watching us from a distance. …Bebree
The Latin for "He Himself" is "ipse" and it has amazed me how frequently it appears in the scriptures. Like Psalm 129, "ipse" He Himself redeemed Israel. First Peter 2:24 "ipse" bore our sins in his own body upon the tree. And, in the beautiful Easter Preface in the Latin Missal, Ipse enim verus est Agnus qui abstulit peccata mundi.
