The estate includes around 5,380 square meters of buildings, set within nearly 58 hectares of woodland, meadows and agricultural land. For centuries, Cistercian monks prayed here and shaped the area around the monastery. After the horrors of the French Revolution, the Spiritans - the congregation whose later superior general was Monsignor Marcel Lefebvre - made Langonnet their home in the 19th century.
