On June 30, Leo XIV appointed Bishop Marco Mellino as Secretary of the Dicastery for Legislative Texts. Until now, Mellino was the deputy secretary of the same Dicastery. He was one of the principal canon-law officials of Francis' Curial reform. Born in 1966 in Canale (Piedmont), Mellino was ordained a priest in 1991 and earned his licentiate (1999) and doctorate (2000) in canon law at the Pontifical Lateran University. Defending Amoris Laetitia In January 2018, Mellino defended the controversial Chapter VIII of Amoris laetitia about giving Communion to adulterers in an article entitled 'La comunione ad alcuni fedeli in situazione irregolare' (Communion for some members of the faithful in an irregular situation). Mellino belongs to the same canon-law milieu as Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio, the principal Vatican defender of Amoris laetitia. In October 2018, Francis appointed Mellino as Bishop and Secretary of the Council of Cardinals (the "C9"). Creating a "Synodal Church" Monsignor …Àteru
The episcopal consecrations in Ecône, Switzerland, today should lead the Church to reconsider the restrictions on the Mass in the Roman rite, Cardinal Gerhard Müller told IlGiornale.it on July 1. The restrictions imposed by Traditionis Custodes (2021) have only strengthened the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) by giving them "a symbol of dissent against Rome". They have "almost served as propaganda" for them. According to Cardinal Müller, Traditionis Custodes "has not had a positive effect": "Using an authoritarian approach to demand blind obedience is not our way." He praised Benedict XVI's Summorum Pontificum (2007) for bringing "a great deal of peace" to the Church, adding: "One cannot prohibit the rite in its ancient form." The ancient Mass cannot be harmful when "the saints and the Fathers of the Church celebrated in this form." Cardinal Müller rejected the claim that those attached to the ancient rite reject the Second Vatican Council, arguing instead that the …Àteru
Glad I saw through these men years ago. Starting with Cardinal Burke. First one to run from. The one I was disappointed in slightly was Cardinal Sarah. I had my hope on him to do better and be better. I don't hear much about Cardinal Arinze. I hope he is not joining them. But I have a feeling he has. All of them lost and confused. Like The Holy Apostles when Christ was arrested they abandon Christ. Now they abandon Him again, His Church and the people. Not one stood up for Him. Not one defended Him. And it's all happening again trying to save their positions and life. Forgetting He who gave His life for us.
Jane Allen was suffering from anorexia. She traveled to Colorado seeking treatment. Instead, her doctor offered assisted suicide — a prescription for death. Her father intervened just in time. Jane began to heal — eating again, tapering off morphine. The anorexia clinic dropped her, calling her a “liability.” When Jane chose life, her doctors walked away. Assisted suicide isn’t healthcare. It’s preying on the sick and vulnerable.
Yes, communism which NON Russians brought to the people and killed tens of millions of CATHOLICS AND ORTHODOX. Some people ought to take out all the hate from their hearts and their lying and get rid of the ignorance they speak. What was Sister Lucia concerned about? communism. What does the Church teach? communism is a sin and evil. Who did the Saintly Popes reach out to? The Russian Orthodox. Who did the Russian Orthodox reach out to? Saintly Popes. Who did most of those Saintly Popes and more condemned fiercely? protestantism. The slaughterer of souls. And also the mind. YES! The errors of Russia! But NOT of the Russian People! As the Church has said, taught and shown for centuries.
Cardinal Pietro Parolin told journalists in Rome today that he does not know when or how the excommunications of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) will take place. “Despite this serious wound I hope that we can find ways to resolve this problem.” He also said that he was "deeply pained" by today's episcopal ordinations: "It is a schismatic act."

15,000 People Attend the Episcopal Consecration: Around fifteen thousand laypeople and a thousand priests and religious currently attend the episcopal consecration in Ecône, Switzerland. During the consecration sermon, Father Davide Pagliarani advanced the strange argument that "we belong to the same Church because we have the same faith," even though the controversy concerns questions of ecclesiastical authority rather than the content of the faith.

Archbishop Ronald Hicks of New York receives the pallium - a vestment which is a symbol of authority - from Pope Leo XIV in St Peter's Basilica. 34 other recently appointed archbishops also received the pallium today (Feast of Sts Peter & Paul).
New Yorker Erzbischof zitiert homosexuellen … - Leo XIV. traf den Homosexuellen-Aktivisten Bad …
Leo XIV intends to visit Peru during the first half of November, Peruvian President José María Balcázar announced following a private audience with the Pope. Peru would be the centerpiece of a broader South American tour that may also include Argentina and Uruguay. Although the Vatican has not yet published an official itinerary, Balcázar said Leo XIV personally confirmed that he plans to be in Peru in November. The proposed itinerary would include Lima, Chiclayo, Piura, Pucallpa and Cusco, with additional visits to Puno and Iquitos also under consideration. The visit could last between eight and ten days. Balcázar said Peru has offered helicopters to assist the Pope in reaching remote towns in northern Peru and the Amazon region, reflecting his desire to visit as many local communities as possible. Argentina, the homeland of Francis, was never visited by him during his thirteen years as pope. A visit by Leo XIV would mark the first papal trip to Argentina since 1987. In Uruguay, …Àteru

Book of Amos 7,10-17. Amaziah, the priest of Bethel, sent word to Jeroboam, king of Israel: "Amos has conspired against you here within Israel; the country cannot endure all his words. For this is what Amos says: Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be exiled from its land." To Amos, Amaziah said: "Off with you, visionary, flee to the land of Judah! There earn your bread by prophesying, but never again prophesy in Bethel; for it is the king's sanctuary and a royal temple." Amos answered Amaziah, "I was no prophet, nor have I belonged to a company of prophets; I was a shepherd and a dresser of sycamores. The LORD took me from following the flock, and said to me, Go, prophesy to my people Israel." Now hear the word of the LORD!" You say: prophesy not against Israel, preach not against the house of Isaac. Now thus says the LORD: Your wife shall be made a harlot in the city, and your sons and daughters shall fall by the sword; Your land shall be divided by measuring line …Àteru
Tuesday, 8th July 1913 Girl Tells of Life in Slavers’ Hands Tuesday, July 8, 1913 Hattie Smith Warns Young Women of Atlanta Against the Wiles of Procurers. The startling expose of vice conditions by Hattie Smith, the prety [sic] 17-year-old girl, one of the alleged victims of the "system," resulted Tuesday in an aggressive war n [sic] the downtown hotels. Chief Beavers declared he would stamp out vice if he had to detail a special officer at every one of the hotels in question. Several additional arrests will be made before noon, it is believed. The Smith girls repeated her story with many additional details of the "system" which is said to be the most completely organized in the history of Atlanta. Taking a lesson from her own harrowing experience, she has issued a warning to young girls to beware of the women procurers, who, she says, ply the streets with pleasant smiles and entice girls to well-known hotels of the downtown district, where the "system" is so completely organized that …Àteru
Poland declared Jesus Christ as their King... Will Canada or the UK EVER do the same? Not even in your dreams, both "socialist" countries are under the thumb of the antichrist. Please Lord comeback quickly
This heading might be misleading. In this case, 'Poland' does NOT mean the Polish government which has taken no such action. Polish BISHOPS did, however.
VATICAN CITY (PerMariam) — With the Society of Saint Pius X’s episcopal consecrations and the accompanying threatened excommunication now just over two weeks away, a prominent prelate has given advice on what position Catholics who attend the Society will be in. “I think the faithful and the Society simply profess the faith of all times,” said Bishop Athanasius Schneider in a recent interview with journalist Matt Gaspers. “They profess it, accept the Pope, pray for him, and profess the Catholic faith. This is the minimum really required to be in communion.” (The full interview can be watched here) As it stands, the Holy See appears unlikely to change its stance regarding the SSPX and the planned episcopal consecrations. This means that, come the July 1 consecration date, the Holy See would deem that such consecrations without the papal mandate would incur “the excommunication established by the law of the Church.” Cardinal Victor Manuel Fernández’s document from May 13 declares …
The SSPX view held by Bp. Schneider: “If this is not the minimum, then what shall the minimum be?,” he asked, referencing their recent Declaration of Faith and loyalty to the Pope. “At the same time,” he observed, “the German synodal way and other bishops around the world openly proclaim heresies and permit blasphemies during liturgies, all unpunished and not corrected.”
St. Catherine of Siena is frequently quoted in her love of the pope of her day (as well she should be.) However, she is less frequently quoted in what she had to say about the antipope of her day. There have been 20-40 antipopes in history, so a discussion on this topic is not “anti-Catholic,” or “schismatic,” as the following account of St. Catherine clearly demonstrates. […] In 1378, after the election of Pope Urban VI, the majority of Cardinals, Prelates and the people recognized Clement VIl as pope, even though he was in reality an antipope. Thirteen out of sixteen cardinals questioned the validity of the election of Pope Urban due to the threat of violence from the Roman people against the Sacred College, and even Urban’s few supporters immediately retracted their election, summoning a new Conclave at Fondi which elected the antipope Clement VIl. Even Saint Vincent Ferrer was convinced that Clement was the real pope, while Saint Catherine of Siena sided with Urban. If universal …Àteru
